The Way Restoration was officially founded in 2025 by Casey and Jennifer Johnson. The IDEA, though, was envisioned way back in 2015, when asked by a pastor how Casey could help his then church. Casey being raised on a farm, he developed the ability to repair all kinds of things. How better to help others then by taking that knowledge and using it beyond the family farm. Casey kept that idea in his heart, he could help here and there but never in a bigger way like he wanted to. When he found his new and permanent church home he started going on mission trips. First to Colombia in 2018 and 2019, where he learned the art of door-to-door evangelism and getting used to sharing the love of God to others. Then Peru, starting in 2022 (a yearly, sometimes twice a year since), to help repair local churches. Electrical work of running wiring, putting in new lighting and so on. There was also concrete work and wall repairs and then going into the jungle to help share the word with locals. While on these missions, he felt the Lord calling him away from his lifelong career in law enforcement, to help restore people’s faith closer to home in local communities. Through long conversations with his wife Jennifer, the real idea for The Way Restoration was born. God put it on Casey’s heart, in a big way, to spread the love of Christ through doing what he loves to do; build and repair things physically, that can show and repair things spiritually.
Casey and Jennifer Johnson are both Christians that desire to serve the Lord through acts of service the Lord leads them to. Casey came to Christ in 2014 and has been eager to learn and share the love of God through many avenues. He is active with his church's safety team (utilizing his training and knowledge of his 20+ years in law enforcement), a member of Men's Alliance, which is faith-based workout and devotional. He has held a leadership role in Scouts of America, first in Cub Scouts for two years as a den leader and quartermaster, which now continues with Scouts as his youngest daughter hopefully works her way to eagle. In addition to men's groups and family, Casey has become part of the ReEngage ministry at his church. There he co-facilitates with his wife each fall semester with new couples eager to grow their personal and marital relationships closer to Christ. Jennifer has been a believer since early childhood. Going with her family to many gospel singing events, church Sunday mornings, evening and every Wednesday night. As for her career she has been in the animal field for 25+ years. Starting in vet clinic, then moving into the sheltering world and most recently helping with marketing of a local pet facility part time so she can help Casey in his mission work here locally. Casey and Jennifer share three children, two are adults and out on their own and the youngest is a pre-teen navigating middle school. Together they attend Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) and search for ways to serve the Lord.
